About the Department

Duties & Responsibilities

Determines the taxable value of real and personal property within the township.
Maintains and updates property assessment records.
Prepares and updates assessment rolls for each tax year.
Responds to property owner inquiries regarding assessments and valuations.
Conducts field inspections and property data verification as needed.
Assists the Board of Review with property assessment appeals and hearings.
Ensures compliance with state laws and assessment standards.
Maintains accurate documentation and records related to property assessments.
